India-built, portal-integrated, and priced differently in every shop
6Degrees vs LeadRat
LeadRat does the job 6Degrees deliberately does not do yet: it pulls leads out of 99acres, MagicBricks and Housing and puts them in front of a caller fast. If your bottleneck is response time on portal leads, read that sentence twice before you read anything else on this page.
The short answer
Pick LeadRat if portal lead volume is your business and speed to first call is the metric you are judged on. Pick 6Degrees if you already get the leads and the thing that costs you money is proving they were yours.
Eight points, side by side
Checked 13 August 2026 against leadrat.com, and the reseller listings named below. These are the eight things 6Degrees is built to win, which is the honest way to read any vendor’s table: it is our axis, and you are allowed to decide it is the wrong one.
| What it does | 6Degrees | LeadRat |
|---|---|---|
| Whose ledger it is | YesYours. It spans every developer you work with. | YesYours. It is your LeadRat account and your lead data. |
| Timestamped lead registration | YesYes. The server sets the date. The client cannot. | PartlyLead source and create date are captured. There is no claim object on top. |
| Claim validity window | YesYes. A booked site visit extends it 30 days. | NoNo claim window is published. |
| Published tie-break rule | YesYes. First verified tag, and the buyer’s own confirmation outranks it. | NoLead assignment rules route work. They do not resolve two claims on one buyer. |
| One ledger across many developers | YesYes. Seven builders, one ledger. | NoProjects, not empanelments. Nothing tracks what each developer owes you. |
| Server-dated interaction trail | YesYes. Create-only. Nobody can backdate or delete a call. | PartlyCall and activity logging, editable after the fact. |
| Evidence pack you can attach to a claim | YesYes. One dated pack: terms, timestamp, confirmation, site visit, timeline. | NoNo. Reports export, but nothing assembles a dated claim file. |
| Self-serve export and cancel | YesYes. CSV and JSON, any day, no ticket. | PartlyNot published. |
What LeadRat does better
- 1/Direct portal integration with 99acres, MagicBricks and Housing.com, which is the single most requested thing in this market and is hard to build.
- 2/Web, Android and iOS from one codebase, and the mobile app is the product for most of their users.
- 3/Real estate only, so the vocabulary is right out of the box.
- 4/The vendor list price is ₹700 a seat a month, which is at the bottom of the Indian range.
What 6Degrees does that LeadRat does not
- 1/A referral is an object with a server-set timestamp, a validity window and a stated tie-break rule.
- 2/The commission ledger works across developers, with TDS computed per line.
- 3/Activities are create-only at the database rule level, so the trail is evidence rather than notes.
- 4/The price is one number. LeadRat’s identical seat is listed at ₹700 by the vendor, ₹1,300 on Techjockey and ₹2,299 on SoftwareSuggest, a 3.3x spread checked in the PRD research pass. Ask for the vendor number.
The thing both products are arguing about
A referral in Indian real estate has a rupee value, a counterparty, a deadline and a rival. That makes it an object with a state machine, not a note on a contact. Once you accept that, the only remaining question is whose database the object lives in, and the answer decides who can still read it after you stop working with that builder.
