AI-forward, no published price, and no free trial at all

6Degrees vs Lofty

Lofty is the most aggressive AI story in US residential, and it publishes no price and offers no free trial, which is an unusual combination for a product sold on how easy it is. The complaint file is worth an hour of your time. One customer of eighteen years asked for the export Lofty’s own Section 8 promises, and was quoted a fee for it.

The short answer

Pick Lofty if you want the whole stack from one vendor and the AI features are what you are buying. Ask for the price and the exit terms in writing first, because neither is published. Pick 6Degrees if the thing you need is a provable record rather than a bigger funnel.

Eight points, side by side

Checked 13 August 2026 against lofty.com, and the Better Business Bureau complaint file. These are the eight things 6Degrees is built to win, which is the honest way to read any vendor’s table: it is our axis, and you are allowed to decide it is the wrong one.

What Lofty does better

  • 1/The widest AI feature set anybody ships here: lead scoring, drafting, an AI assistant and a dialer.
  • 2/IDX, a website, social ads and a CRM in one product, so it replaces three vendors.
  • 3/People who get through onboarding and use it properly report real lead volume from it.
  • 4/The mobile app is good and the automation builder is more capable than most.

What 6Degrees does that Lofty does not

  • 1/A published price and a free alpha. Lofty offers no trial at all.
  • 2/Export is self-serve, any day, in CSV and JSON. Not a request, not a ticket, and not an hourly rate.
  • 3/A referral is an object with a server-set date and a rule, rather than a lead with a score.
  • 4/We print what a number is. Every AI performance statistic in this category is vendor-reported and none of it has been independently validated, which is itself worth knowing before you buy on one.

The thing both products are arguing about

A referral has a fee, a counterparty, a deadline and a rival. That makes it an object with a state machine, not a note on a contact. Once you accept that, the only remaining question is whose database the object lives in, and the answer decides who can still read it after you stop working with that brokerage.
